Hi! I am Phil, an experienced counsellor and family therapist in Birkdale, Auckland. I see individuals, couples and families.
I provide a space to explore the emotions related to the anxiety at hand. If you are at a stage in life of feeling that things aren’t quite how they should be. Let me reassure you there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
I’m a registered counsellor and educational psychologist with 10+ years’ experience supporting individuals of all ages. I provide a safe, collaborative space using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, EMDR, and psychotherapy. Sessions are tailored to your needs, helping you manage anxiety, trauma, life transitions, parenting challenges, and emotional stress with care and understanding.
I provide a warm, safe and confidential space for you to share and express your feelings, thoughts, and difficulties in your life.
I support you in the areas of: anxiety/depression, self-esteem/confidence, balance in your life, personal development, problematic use of alcohol and drugs, anger management and the psychological side of Autism and Asperger’s, OCD, ADD, ADHD and more.
I work with people who are looking to resolve feelings of anxiety, depression and overwhelm, who may feel stuck in repeating life experiences and feel unable to move past them or understand why they feel this way.
I am not registered to take ACC sensitive claims.
I have been a Registered Psychologist for over 30 years; I am a parent of three adult daughters and a grandparent of two little boys. I am very experienced at parenting and dealing with behavioural issues. As well as helping parents with behavioural issues I can also help with sleep patterns and dependencies. I specialise in anxiety and panic attacks, and I have developed resources to manage this. I am very experienced in couples counselling & relationship issues. iI can help with communication issues.
I suffered from panic attacks for 15 years before getting help and making them a thing of the past. Let's work together to make anxiety a thing of the past for you too.
